Unfortunately, untangling a situation in which you do not receive a Loom CD with your used print curriculum purchase is more like trying to legally replace a missing deed to your used car than it is like a simple replacement of a flat tire.  Lampstand Press can offer very little help because, like a car's title, possession of the Loom IS the proof that the sale was legal.  While a Loom disc may have been legitimately and innocently lost, the original purchaser should replace it before attempting to sell her copy of the curriculum.

The process of attempting to acquire a new Loom AFTER a sale has been made is slow, expensive, difficult to accomplish at all, and cannot be accomplished without the extensive cooperation of the person who originally purchased the curriculum from Lampstand Press.

We suggest that you consider the following practices for purchasing used curriculum:

1.  Ask to see a timestamped picture of the Loom and confirm it is in the seller's possession before agreeing to a purchase.

2.  Arrange to receive the curriculum before sending full payment (a reasonable deposit followed by full payment upon receipt of the curriculum in the condition described, WITH the Loom, may be a good method).

3.  Ask to see a screenshot of the copyright (found in the lower and outer edge of any page in the curriculum).  If the copyright says "not for resale," the pages are a printout of a digital product and the attempted sale is illegal.  The owner will not be able to send a Loom because he or she only has digital access to one.  (A further note: any attempt to sell any copy of an Integrated TOG 2020 Edition is illegal because we produced only digital copies of that edition.)

Two additional general notes based on our recent experience:

1.  Make sure you have fully explored your options before purchasing any used curriculum.  Since Spools Subjects products have become available, used Integrated curriculum is not always the least expensive option, especially for those seeking a single level and/or only a few subjects.

2.  Sometimes people tell us that they cannot afford TOG, but seem unaware that we are able and willing to help them if that is indeed the case!  We have a scholarship program, and we are glad for the opportunity to use it in cases of true need.  If TOG seems beyond your means, please contact us!

Hopefully these notes will help you to a more safe and satisfactory outcome in your search for TOG curriculum.  Happy shopping!
