In the latest Mac OS update (Sierra, version 10.12), Apple made security preferences more secure by removing the option of allowing the download of applications made by unidentified developers.** Primarily this affects the shortcuts ("aliases") on your desktop, but the Tapestry documents themselves are not affected. If you allow your computer to accept this Sierra update, your desktop icons will no longer work properly. You will need to access your documents through your Finder or where you saved them on your hard drive. Here are instructions on how to do this:
- Open Finder and go into Applications.
- Click on the Tapestry of Grace folder.
- Find the folder entitled "interface_Y(#)."
- Select the file entitled "index.htm."
This will open the user interface in your default web browser so that you can access your files.

**An unidentified developer is an application not affiliated with Apple and thus, Apple does not recognize it.
